Douglas Sonsalla, NCARB, LEED AP

Doug is a founding partner of Studio Nexus and is committed to delivering exceptionally functional, forward-thinking designs for Studio Nexus clients. He understands how the design of a physical environment contributes to its evolution, serving as a catalyst to progress. He particularly enjoys working with idea-driven clients who view each project as an opportunity to elevate their goals while representing their character and vision. Doug has 25 years of experience constructing, designing, and managing commercial and residential projects from Africa to the Midwest and New England.

He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Construction Management and from the University of Minnesota with a Master of Architecture. He completed a two-year service as a volunteer with the Peace Corps building schools and teachers' houses in rural areas of Gabon, Africa. He is licensed in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maryland.

Away from the office, Doug enjoys outdoor activities with his family, music, and watching his kids participating in sporting events.
